Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern use of Marshall County Busted Mugshots. It is a private reference service for public-record routing in Marshall County, Illinois, not a government office or records custodian. Using the pages or search tools means accepting these terms. Do not use the service if you do not agree.

Marshall County Busted Mugshots is privately owned and is not affiliated with any sheriff, jail, police department, court, corrections department, or other government body. Neither this service nor its advertising or search partners provides a consumer report or a service for any Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose.

What the Service Is

The pages organize links, contacts, explanations, and research notes about Marshall County booking, arrest, court, and custody records. No official records are stored here. The service cannot confirm custody, release a person, file a court document, change a charge, or promise that an outside source is available.

Government offices and outside providers control their own records and results. A booking photo or arrest entry is an accusation record and is not proof of guilt.

Acceptable Use

Use the pages lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with another visitor's access. You agree not to:

  • break a law or violate a court order while using the service;
  • stalk, threaten, harass, intimidate, or target a person;
  • make a decision about a person's employment, housing, lending, insurance, licensing, or eligibility from the content;
  • attempt unauthorized access to the pages, search tools, hosting, or another visitor's data;
  • run bots, scrapers, or bulk requests against the service without written permission; or
  • introduce code, malware, traffic, or conduct that disrupts the service.

No Consumer Reports

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not prepare background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening products, and neither the service nor its ad partners offer them. You agree not to use any information from these pages or a linked tool for an FCRA-covered purpose, including:

  • hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment decisions;
  • tenant, housing, or lease screening;
  • creditworthiness, lending, or insurance decisions;
  • licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility; or
  • any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Outside Links and Tools

The pages link to the Marshall County sheriff and jail, court, the county CodeRed page, state corrections, federal, news, archive, and other resources. They may also contain a third-party search box. Outside operators control their content, data practices, pricing, results, uptime, and terms. A link is not an endorsement or a guarantee. Review the other operator's terms before submitting information or paying for a service.

Information As Is

All content is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties to the fullest extent allowed by law. No promise is made that information is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Custody status and public records can change without notice. Nothing on these pages is an official statement from a sheriff, court, corrections department, or other government agency.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marshall County Busted Mugshots and its owners, contributors, providers, and partners are not liable for loss, injury, claim, cost, or damage arising from access to, reliance on, or inability to use the service or a linked resource, including indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Your Indemnity Promise

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Marshall County Busted Mugshots, its owners, contributors, contractors, providers, and partners from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, your unlawful conduct, or your misuse of information.

Ownership and Permission

The text, arrangement, graphics, logo, code, and other original elements of these pages belong to Marshall County Busted Mugshots or the applicable content partner. You may read and link to the pages for personal, lawful reference. Do not copy, republish, distribute, modify, sell, frame, or create a competing bulk collection without written permission or a license from the rights holder.

Changes to These Terms

Terms may be revised at any time. A new version takes effect when posted unless it states a later date. Continued use after a change means the revised terms apply. If a material change is unacceptable, stop using the service.

Suspension or Blocking

Access may be limited, suspended, or revoked at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including suspected abuse, security risk, legal demand, or breach of these terms. Provisions about ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law remain effective after access ends.

Illinois Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without applying its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute shall be filed in a court located in Illinois, unless applicable law requires another forum.

Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. The affected provision will be adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable while preserving its purpose.
